Lugazi have confirmed the signing of forward Adam Mutesaasira from Rwanda’s Muhazi United, handing the winger a three-year contract ahead of the new campaign.
“I feel so good to be joining Lugazi. I’m ready to perform at a high level to help the team achieve its goals,” Mutesaasira said shortly after putting pen to paper.
The 22-year-old arrives with proven experience from both Uganda and Rwanda’s top divisions.
He previously featured for Police in the FUFA Big League and Uganda Premier League before heading to Rwanda in 2023.
During the 2024/25 season, Mutesaasira stood out at Muhazi United, racking up 12 goal contributions—five goals and seven assists—in just 15 matches in the second half of the Rwanda Premier League.
The Kibuli SS product also made headlines during the 2022 FEASSSA Games, helping his school lift the football title in Arusha, Tanzania. His performances then were a strong hint of his potential, and now Lugazi FC hope to tap into that same spark.
Capable of playing on either wing, Mutesaasira brings pace, creativity, and a direct attacking threat. Lugazi FC believe his addition will sharpen their edge as they aim for a strong season.
