Schedule of the 2025 Nile Special Uganda Rugby 7s Series:

“Sevens Rugby remains our most visible and commercially viable product, even under the current global trends. Retaining a seven-stop season ensures we continue building the game’s national footprint and commercial potential,” said Desire Derekford Mugumisa, chairperson of the Uganda sevens series committee.

Sixteen (twelve core) men’s and eight (six core) women’s teams will compete in the series this year. The winner will be determined by the highest total points accumulated from the seven rounds.

Platinum Credit Heathens and Avengers are the current holders of the men’s and women’s titles respectively.

Gulu City Falcons and Eagles (men’s teams) and Walukuba Titans (women’s) gained core status following last season’s promotional playoffs.

Two men’s and one women’s teams will be relegated at the end of the series.
