Bryan Zaragoza’s brief and challenging spell at Bayern Munich is set to end as Celta Vigo reportedly closes in on the Spanish winger.
The 23-year-old, who made just seven appearances for Bayern, is expected to join Celta on a loan deal with a €13 million (£11m/$15m) obligation to buy.
The agreement, which hinges on Zaragoza playing a set number of games and Celta finishing between 11th and 13th in La Liga, sees him return to familiar territory after a successful loan stint at Osasuna. Celta will cover only part of his €2 million annual salary during the loan.
This move aligns with Bayern’s plans to bring in Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, making Zaragoza surplus to requirements.
For Celta, who have qualified for the Europa League and are looking to bolster their attack, Zaragoza represents a significant summer signing, offering him a crucial opportunity to reignite his career in Spain.
