The TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 is set to kick off on August 2, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Two-time champions Morocco were the first team to arrive in Nairobi, Kenya, as excitement builds for the tournament.
Morocco, winners in 2018 and 2021, are one of only two nations to have won the title twice, alongside DR Congo.
The Atlas Lions are in a tough Group A with hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo. They’ll start their campaign against Angola next Sunday at Nyayo National Stadium.
The remaining Group A teams—Zambia, DR Congo, and Angola—are expected to arrive in Nairobi in the coming days.
Sixteen national teams will join the three co-hosts for the tournament.
CAF has been working closely with the Local Organising Committees to ensure a smooth welcome and preparations.
