Borussia Dortmund are pushing to bring Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka back on a loan deal, while also targeting Brighton & Hove Albion’s promising young attacker Facundo Buonanotte.
These moves are key for head coach Niko Kovac, who needs to bolster his squad after Jamie Gittens joined Chelsea.
Dortmund previously had Chukwuemeka on loan and remain confident in his abilities, despite Chelsea preferring a permanent sale.
While Chelsea values him at £40 million, Dortmund aims for another loan, potentially with an option to buy, due to fitness concerns. A permanent deal for around €25 million might also be considered.
Meanwhile, Dortmund has intensified their pursuit of Buonanotte, who has impressed with Brighton. Despite interest from Lyon, BILD reports that the Argentinian is leaning towards a move to Signal Iduna Park.
These transfer efforts follow Dortmund’s failed bid for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri and ongoing speculation about Jadon Sancho’s future. The club is working to finalize its squad for the upcoming season.
