Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the club has not received any formal offers for their star striker, Alexander Isak, despite swirling transfer speculation.
Howe, speaking from the team’s pre-season tour in Seoul, addressed Isak’s absence, which was initially attributed to a minor thigh injury but is now understood to be related to the 25-year-old exploring his options for a summer move.
“He is still our player. He’s contracted to us,” Howe stated, adding that while he wants Isak to stay, his future isn’t “in my full control.”
Sources suggest Liverpool remains interested in Isak, even after signing Hugo Ekitike.
Newcastle has consistently maintained that the £60 million signing from 2022, who has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances, is not for sale.
