CAF Coaches instructor Mujib Kasule has thrown his weight behind Bukayo Saka, calling the Arsenal and England winger a “world-class player without question.”
Speaking to NBS Sport, the Proline proprietor dismissed any lingering debate about Saka’s status in global football.
“There’s no coach in the world who’ll tell you Saka isn’t world class,” Kasule said. “He plays for one of the top clubs in world football—and he’s the main man there. That tells you everything.”
Kasule pointed out that football fans, especially those supporting rival clubs like Manchester United, often let emotion cloud their judgment when assessing players like Saka.
But for coaches and technical teams, he said, the reality is different. Saka is not just respected—he’s feared.
“Whether it’s PSG, Madrid or Barcelona, every team plans for Saka in their training. That tells you how good he is,” Kasule emphasized.
He argued that Saka’s consistent top-level performances for both club and country make him the measuring stick for young talent.
According to him, whenever a new player breaks out, the conversation often turns to how they compare to Saka, whether it’s Cole Palmer or Jamal Musiala.
“He’s become the benchmark. If you’re better than Saka, you’re extremely good. If you’re not at his level, you’ve not arrived yet.”
Kasule acknowledged that comparing players is part of the fun for fans, but warned against letting bias blind people to Saka’s undeniable impact.
For coaches, he said, the judgment is simple: world-class performance, delivered consistently, at the highest level.
