Newcastle United have signed England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan from Southampton.
The 27-year-old, who has five international caps, cited the chance to work with manager Eddie Howe again as a key reason for the move.
Howe, who previously signed Ramsdale for Bournemouth in 2017, now adds another England international to his goalkeeping roster, which already includes Nick Pope.
This is Newcastle’s third signing of the summer, following Anthony Elanga and Antonio Cordero.
The club is also holding firm on star striker Alexander Isak, having recently rejected a £110 million bid from Liverpool.
