Men’s and women’s pools for the 2025 Gulu 7s tournament have generated both excitement and concern within rugby circles.
On one hand, each of the pools has a legitimate claim for “pool of death” which means the fans will witness competitive rugby from start to finish.
But on the other hand, having no clear favourite in any of the pools means the players will have no room for error at any point during the tournament.
The pools were drawn live on NBS Sport this Tuesday morning.
Current women’s series leaders, Thunderbirds, drew defending champions Avengers in Pool A. The two invitational teams are Kitgum Queens and Gulu Sprinters.
