The 2025 I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series continues its calendar with the third leg scheduled for Saturday, August 9, at the par-71 Entebbe Golf Club.
This edition will be played under the Daytona format, offering a fresh competitive twist for handicapped amateur golfers.
Open to all eligible amateur players with valid handicaps, the tournament will feature teams of two, including mixed pairs, competing using their course handicaps as per Entebbe Club’s tables.
The Daytona format requires each team to record net scores per hole, which are then combined into a two-digit team score—placing the lower number first.
For example, if one player nets 3 and their partner nets 6 on a hole, the team score is recorded as 36, not 63. The team with the lowest combined total at the end of 18 holes will be crowned the winner.
A range of prizes will be on offer, including accolades for the top six performing pairs, an individual Grand Winner, and special category prizes for Nearest to the Pin (men and ladies) and Longest Drive (men and ladies).
The upcoming tournament follows a successful second edition in May, which saw the launch of a fully lit 18th hole fairway at Entebbe Club—an innovation by I&M Bank to enhance after-hours play.
With over 130 golfers participating in the previous round, strong turnout is expected again as anticipation builds around the unique Daytona format.
The Katogo Golf Series is part of I&M Bank’s broader initiative to elevate golf experiences while fostering social connections and supporting community development.
The fourth leg of the series will be played later this year, with a cross-border event planned in Kigali, Rwanda.
