Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is “optimistic” about being fit for the club’s Premier League opener against Arsenal on Sunday, August 17.
The Cameroon international, who traveled with the squad for pre-season but was sidelined with an injury, provided an update to NBC Sports, saying, “I’m good, I feel great. It’s been a few difficult weeks but yeah, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season.”
Onana also commented on the team’s atmosphere, highlighting a new sense of “togetherness” and a shared desire to improve upon last season’s performance.
“We know the way. We work hard, we enjoy training together. We have fun and that is key,” he said. He emphasized the importance of a strong start against Arsenal, stating, “everything is possible” with a good performance.
