Thomas Muller, the veteran forward and German World Cup winner, has signed with Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The move comes after his contract with Bayern Munich, his club for 25 years, expired.
Muller’s deal includes an option for the 2026 season where he could be a designated player.
The Whitecaps acquired the rights to the 35-year-old from FC Cincinnati in exchange for a package of allocation money.
“I’m looking forward to coming to Vancouver to help this team win a championship,” Muller said.
He won two Champions League titles and 13 Bundesliga trophies with Bayern and lifted the 2014 World Cup with Germany.
Vancouver is currently second in the Western Conference.
