URA continued their raid on Kitara, securing another of the Royals’ star players ahead of the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season.
Forward Fred Amaku is the latest acquisition by the Tax Collectors from the Hoima-based outfit, following two other signings during this very window.
Goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima and forward Living Kabon were the earlier signings from Kitara for URA, with the former currently with the Uganda Cranes for the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Former BUL FC defender Ronald Otti has also joined URA from Kitara, pending unveiling.
Both Kusiima and Kabon have played for URA previously, so this will be their second stint at the club, alongside Amaku.
The trio of Kusiima, Kabon, and Amaku have all penned two-year contracts with the Tax Collectors, keeping them at the club at least until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
As is common in Ugandan football, they all joined as free agents following the expiration of their contracts with the Pride of Bunyoro.
Before joining Kitara, Amaku was plying his trade with Maroons FC, where he was a reliable source of goals for the Prison Warders.
Amaku and Kabon scored five and six goals respectively, while Kusiima was the best goalkeeper in the league with 16 clean sheets.
Alex Isabirye’s charges finished fourth last season but always start every season as one of the favorites to win the league.
The types of players they’re signing clearly reflect their intentions for the upcoming campaign.
