Uganda Premier League champions Vipers will start their 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League journey against Namibia’s African Stars in the Preliminary Round.
The draw, held on Saturday at Azam Media Studios in Dar es Salaam, set up a high-stakes clash that will see the winner face Zambia’s Power Dynamos in the next stage.
Vipers, making another push to reach the group stages, will be away in the first leg between 19–21 September before hosting the return leg from 26–28 September.
Should they advance, they will take on Power Dynamos of Zambia or ASEC Mimosas FC of Côte d’Ivoire in October’s Second Preliminary Round, with the victor earning a spot in the lucrative group stage that kicks off in November.
CAF has confirmed that teams eliminated in either of the first two rounds will each receive USD 100,000 to help cover logistical expenses.
