Michail Antonio has confirmed he is in active discussions with clubs both in England and overseas as he plots his next move in football.
The veteran striker, who departed West Ham this summer after a decade at the club, is aiming to regain full fitness and form ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Antonio’s contract with the Hammers expired in June, but he continued his rehabilitation with the club following a serious car crash in December. Now a free agent, the Jamaican international is evaluating his options.
“I’m speaking to clubs right now to see where the best offer is for me to go, and we’ll just see how it goes,” Antonio told talkSPORT.
When pressed for details, he remained vague, adding, “To be honest, there’s a mixture… we’re talking to clubs here, we’re talking to clubs abroad.”
West Ham have already moved to fill the void left by Antonio’s departure, signing Callum Wilson, who was released by Newcastle.
