Jack Grealish is set to join Everton on a season-long loan, bringing to an end his tumultuous two-year spell on the fringes at Manchester City.
The 29-year-old winger, who became a British-record £100m signing in 2021, has fallen out of favor with City manager Pep Guardiola, making just seven league starts last season.
While at City, Grealish won numerous trophies, including the Champions League in 2023, but his role diminished significantly after a hamstring injury.
This led to him being left out of the England squad for the 2024 European Championship, which he described as “heartbreaking.”
A medical is imminent for the England international, who is hoping to revitalize his career at Everton and reclaim his spot in the national team ahead of a World Cup year.
The move offers Grealish a chance to become a key player at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium and prove he can still perform at the highest level.
