The Uganda Motor Club has launched preparations for the 2025 Fort Portal Tourism City Rally, which will run from August 22 to 24 across Kyenjojo and Kabarole districts.
Now in its fifth edition on the National Rally Championship calendar, the event will feature five stages over a 280km route — 125km competitive and 155km liaison.
Two stages will be contested in Kyenjojo on Day One, with three stages in Fort Portal on Day Two.
Clerk of the Course Ahmed Ssemwanga, speaking at the launch at Supremacy Lounge in Nakulabye, said the route is race-ready and designed to test driver skill with fast, challenging sections.
The ceremonial flag-off is set for August 22 at Panorama Hotel in Kyenjojo.
Top contenders expected to feature include Nasser Mutebi, Ssozi Isaac, Samuel Watendwa, Faizal Kayira, and Peter Kalule.
KCB Bank, one of the event’s sponsors, will integrate a tree-planting initiative during the rally, with 2,000 trees to be planted as part of efforts to promote environmental conservation alongside motorsport.
