The Uganda Boxing Champions League roars back on Saturday, August 23, at the NCS Arena in Lugogo, promising another packed night of high-energy action and fierce rivalries.
Following an action packed Week 8 at Club Obligato, fight fans are in for an evening stacked with over 20 bouts, from junior prospects to elite showdowns.
The first bell will sound at 3:15 PM, with contests running deep into the night. All eyes will be on the main event — a Light Middleweight 71kg Elite clash between Lukanga’s Serugo Bashir and KCCA’s Kanabi Alex.
Serugo is still searching for his first win of the season, while Kanabi arrives with momentum after two impressive victories. Both have vowed to leave everything in the ring, setting the stage for a high-stakes encounter.
The undercard is loaded with matchups to watch. In the junior divisions, Natukunda Peace (Busega) takes on Nabanja Amina (UPDF) in the Featherweight 57kg Girls category, while Nanyuna Michelle (Lukanga) meets Goloba Mariam (Kyengera) in the Flyweight 50kg Girls contest. Youth action will see bouts like Musule Stephen (Sparks) vs Mugumya Abdul (Kololo) in the Welterweight 67kg division, and Sserunkuma Muhammad (Lukanga) against Ochan Raymond (KCCA) at Lightweight 60kg.
Elite bouts bring even more firepower, including Zikama Sabath (Westcoast) vs Ebongo Emmy (Kiwatule) in the Super Heavyweight 92kg division, Jamidali Adam (UPDF) vs Yannick Monga (Lukanga) at Cruiserweight 86kg, and Lubega Hakim (Lukanga) vs Hussein Mulo (Namuugona) in the Bantamweight 54kg category.
NBS Sport, the official broadcast partner, will beam the action live across the country, ensuring fans don’t miss a single punch, block, or knockout.
