Uganda will play back-to-back home fixtures in September as the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers resume.

FIFA confirmed that the Cranes will host Mozambique on Friday, 5 September 2025, at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, with kick-off set for 7:00 pm.

Earlier that same day, Somalia will face Guinea at the same venue starting at 3:00 pm.

Three days later, on Monday, 8 September, Uganda will again be in action at Namboole, this time against Somalia. That match is also scheduled for a 7:00 pm kick-off.

The games form part of matchdays seven and eight in Group G, where Uganda currently sits fourth with nine points.

Algeria lead the group with 15 points, followed by Mozambique on 12, while Botswana are level with Uganda on nine points. Guinea and Somalia remain below the Cranes in the standings.

Uganda will be aiming to use the two home ties to climb into stronger contention for a top-two finish in the group, which remains tightly contested going into the final stretch of qualifying.
