Versed attacking midfielder Frank Tumwesigye Zaga has renewed his employment contract with Kitara for an additional two years, keeping him at the club at least until 2027.
Zaga who arrived at the club in 2023 played an integral part for Kitara as the Royals won their maiden Stanbic Uganda Cup last year thanks to a 1-0 victory over NEC in a final played at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
“Kitara is home and there’s no doubt that by staying at the club, I’m actually feeling at home. We have achieved a lot with Kitara and I can’t wait to achieve more,” Tumwesigye was quoted by the club.
“Zaga is our own homeboy and we had to make sure we continue working with him for all of us to achieve greater success ahead,” Kitara CEO Joshua Atugonza said.
The 26-year-old has previously featured for Vipers and Police in the Star times Uganda premier League. With the former, he won two Uganda Premier League titles and one Uganda Cup.
Internationally, the midfielder has previously featured for Uganda at the U-17, U-20 and the U-23 teams. He has yet to make a full appearance in the senior team, the Uganda Cranes.
