Emma Raducanu is urging Wimbledon to follow the US Open’s lead and introduce a high-profile mixed doubles event.
The British tennis star recently partnered with Carlos Alcaraz in a new tournament in New York, which featured top players, a $1 million prize, and a fast-paced format to build excitement.
While some critics dismissed it as an exhibition, Raducanu called the event a “huge success” that was “great for the sport in general.”
Though other Grand Slams are hesitant due to tradition and financial constraints, she believes a similar format would be a valuable addition to the majors.
