The Football Association is investigating a banner unfurled by Crystal Palace fans that depicted Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis holding a gun to midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White’s head.
Nottingham Forest is reportedly “hugely disappointed” that the banner was allowed into Selhurst Park, viewing it as inflammatory and xenophobic.
The banner referenced multiple allegations of wrongdoing against Marinakis, which he has consistently denied.
The incident comes amid heightened tensions between the clubs after Forest took Palace’s spot in the Europa League due to the London club violating UEFA’s multi-club ownership rules.
The FA will decide whether Palace faces punishment for the banner.
