A staged wrestling match in California took a shocking turn when Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, allegedly assaulted his opponent, Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith.
The incident, which was live-streamed, showed Jackson entering the ring and violently slamming Smith, who was left unconscious.
Knokx Pro Wrestling, the event organizer, condemned the act as “reprehensible.”
While Smith is reportedly in critical but stable condition, the Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into the matter.
Quinton Jackson called the event a “work gone wrong,” referring to a staged fight that didn’t go as planned.
