Leeds United have officially completed the signing of Leicester City defender James Justin for a transfer fee of £10 million.
The 27-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract, becoming the club’s tenth summer acquisition.
The deal is structured as an initial £8 million payment with an additional £2 million in add-ons.
It is unlikely that Justin will feature in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday, but he could make his debut in the upcoming Premier League fixture against Newcastle.
Having started his career at hometown club Luton Town, Justin joined Leicester in 2019. During his time with the Foxes, he made 169 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
His achievements at Leicester include winning the FA Cup in 2021 and the Championship title in 2024. Justin also earned a single cap for England in 2022.
The acquisition of Justin is part of Leeds’ broader strategy to strengthen their squad before the close of the summer transfer window.
He joins a list of new signings that includes Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff, and Noah Okafor, who was signed from AC Milan for £18 million last week.
Meanwhile, Leicester City has seen a number of player departures following their relegation from the Premier League last season, with sales, including Justin’s, now totaling nearly £50 million.
Other notable players who have left the club are Conor Coady, Wilfred Ndidi, Mads Hermansen, and Kasey McAteer.
