KCCA and SC Villa will begin their FUFA Super Eight campaign tomorrow without several of their national team stars.
The two clubs face off at MTN Philip Omondi Stadium in a fixture that will instead test squad depth and early season readiness.
KCCA co-coach Brian Ssenyondo confirmed that the eight Kasasiro Boys who returned from national duty on Sunday will not feature heavily in the game.
“The eight players are fit enough to be on the bench, but only one or two may be given a chance to play,” he told reporters.
Villa will also be cautious with their internationals. Assistant coach Peter Onen said they have been given extra rest and will only return for the second leg of the tournament.
With both sides holding back key names, the focus shifts to the players fighting for places in the first team.
