Uganda’s hopes in Africa’s premier mobile gaming competition rest with Nondescript Gaming, who will compete at the Carry1st Africa Cup 2025 Grand Finals in Lagos on August 30–31.
The tournament brings together eight of the continent’s elite Call of Duty®: Mobile teams, all vying for a share of the $15,000 prize pool and a historic spot at the Call of Duty®: Mobile World Championship 2025.
The Ugandan team will face fierce competition from regional powerhouses including Sierra7 from Nigeria, ParadoX from South Africa, Aura 233 from Ghana, Bear Clan from Egypt, Delta eSports from Kenya, and Sage Gaming from Senegal. Nondescript Gaming’s performance could mark a landmark moment for Uganda on the African esports stage.
Beyond the competition, the Carry1st Africa Cup offers a full fan experience. Official sponsors Spotify and Mentos will bring live music, interactive zones, games, and giveaways, while content creator Mavis Lucky aims to set a Guinness World Record for the most selfies taken in three minutes, inviting fans to be part of the action.
This year’s event is particularly significant as the champion will earn the first-ever African spot at the Call of Duty®: Mobile World Championship 2025, competing for a share of the $850,000 global prize pool. A strong showing by Nondescript Gaming could put Uganda firmly on the international esports map.
“Ugandan talent continues to make waves across Africa, and Nondescript Gaming has the skill and drive to shine on the global stage,” said Dominion Eromosele, Lead Growth Manager at Carry1st.
