URA Leave it Late to Sink Kitara in Super 8 Opener

URA snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over Kitara FC in the opening match of the 2025 FUFA Super 8 at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Wednesday.

Kitara, who dominated large spells of possession, found their equalizer midway through the second half when Isaac Doka Mweru struck in the 67th minute.

Just as the game seemed destined for a draw, Nichas Kabonge delivered the winner deep into stoppage time, finishing in the 90+4th minute to seal victory for Alex Isabirye Musongola’s side.

The result gives URA an early advantage heading into the return leg of the pre-season competition.
