The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) held a closed-door meeting with Uganda Premier League clubs at Serena Hotel on Tuesday to address the proposed changes to the league format.
The talks, led by FUFA President Moses Magogo, brought together club executives and administrators to debate whether the top flight should shift from the current two-round system to three rounds.
Despite hours of discussion, no agreement was reached.
Magogo described the exchanges as constructive but acknowledged the contrasting views that remain among stakeholders.
“It was a meeting of objective minds, but people were looking at things from different angles,” he said.
This was the latest attempt by FUFA to build consensus after earlier consultations also ended without a resolution.
The proposed reform remains on the table, but its adoption is far from certain, with chances of implementation currently seen as evenly balanced.
