Paul Mark Kayongo has returned as president of the Uganda Woodball Federation after winning another term, promising to lift the sport to greater heights.
Kayongo, who has steered the federation through a period of rapid growth, said his new mandate will focus on tightening governance, strengthening international partnerships, and investing in infrastructure to support the sport’s expansion.
“Our next phase is about building strong systems that can sustain the game beyond individuals. Closer global ties will open more opportunities for Ugandan players and officials,” Kayongo said after his re-election.
Woodball has been steadily spreading across schools and communities, raising expectations for better facilities and professional management.
Kayongo’s re-election comes at a time when the federation is under pressure to match this growth with modern structures that can secure the sport’s future.
