Following their collision at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, Liam Lawson has criticized Carlos Sainz for speaking to the media before addressing him directly.
The Lap 26 incident resulted in a 10-second penalty for Sainz, which he called a “complete joke” and blamed on Lawson.
In response, Lawson stated, “I wish he’d just come and talk to me about it rather than telling everybody else.”
Lawson acknowledged he understood Sainz’s frustration but maintained that the rules are clear, adding that he would have received a penalty if he were at fault.
Both drivers finished outside the points, but their teammates secured results that helped their teams in the Constructors’ Championship.
