Manchester City and the Premier League have reached a settlement in their legal battle over rules governing commercial deals.
The club, which had challenged the rules as “unlawful,” has now accepted that the regulations are “valid and binding.”
The rules, known as Associated Party Transaction (APT) regulations, were created to prevent clubs from overvaluing sponsorship deals with companies linked to their owners.
While the dispute is now resolved, Manchester City still faces a separate disciplinary hearing over more than 100 alleged financial rule breaches, which the club denies.
