British tennis player Jack Draper will miss the rest of the season because of an arm injury.
The 23-year-old, ranked seventh in the world, was forced to withdraw from the US Open.
Draper was in a strong position to qualify for the season-ending ATP Finals, having won a major tournament in March and finishing as runner-up in another in May.
This latest setback adds to a history of physical problems for the young player.
“I always come back stronger as I’m so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player,” Draper posted on social media.
His injury is expected to cause him to fall out of the world’s top 10 rankings by the end of the year.
