The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 26 is officially on, and the journey begins with the opening of the Visa Presale Draw, the first phase of ticket sales for the biggest sporting event on the planet.
Fans across the globe can now submit their applications at FIFA.com/tickets for a chance to secure their place at the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Visa Presale Draw: How It Works
The entry window for the Visa Presale Draw runs from 10–19 September 2025. Any Visa cardholder worldwide can apply during this period, with no advantage based on the timing of entry. A random selection process will determine which applicants are successful.
From 29 September, successful fans will be notified by email and assigned a time slot beginning 1 October to purchase tickets, subject to availability.
“With just ten months to go until the FIFA World Cup 26 kicks off, we are excited to launch the first phase of ticket sales,” said Heimo Schirgi, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Operating Officer.
Ticket Prices and Availability
Fans will have access to a wide range of ticket options:
Group-stage tickets starting at USD 60
Final tickets ranging up to USD 6,730 for the most exclusive seats
Venue-specific and team-specific tickets available in future phases
All 104 matches of the tournament will be included in the sale.
What’s Next in Ticket Sales?
The Visa Presale Draw marks only the first step. Additional phases will roll out in the coming months:
Phase 2 (October 2025): Early Ticket Draw
Phase 3 (Post-Final Draw): Random Selection Draw, with applications for specific matchups
Closer to kickoff: First-come, first-served sales for any remaining tickets
FIFA will also launch a secure resale platform at FIFA.com/tickets, ensuring fans can buy and sell tickets safely and legitimately.
Hospitality and Official Sales
Fans looking for premium experiences can already purchase hospitality packages, which include match tickets, at FIFA.com/hospitality. FIFA strongly advises purchasing only from official channels, as tickets bought through unauthorised sellers may be invalid.
A Historic Tournament Ahead
The FIFA World Cup 26 will be the largest in history, with 48 teams competing across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
“This is where the road to the FIFA World Cup begins, and it starts with Visa,” said Frank Cooper III, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa.
With demand expected to be unprecedented, fans are urged to register early and keep an eye on future ticketing windows. The stage is set for a summer of football history in June–July 2026.
