Corporate Games Uganda Launches Second Edition of Corporate Run to Support Expectant Mothers

Corporate Games Uganda has officially launched the second edition of its Corporate Run, set to take place on Sunday, October 12th, at the NEC Grounds in Bugolobi. The announcement was made at a launch event held at the Next Conference Centre, Next Media Park in Naguru.

Themed “Run for Expectant Mothers,” the 2025 Corporate Run aims to raise awareness about maternal complications during pregnancy and mobilize resources for Health Center IIIs in the Central and Western regions. All proceeds from the event will go toward providing mama kits for expectant mothers.

Corporate Games Uganda Limited, a registered sports management company, organizes Corporate Games, Corporate Runs, corporate team-building activities, and kids’ leagues for employees across Uganda. The initiative uses sports to inspire corporate teams while supporting social causes.

Participants can choose from three race categories: a 2 km networking run, a 5 km race, or a 10 km challenge. All runs will start and finish at the NEC Grounds, with participation kits priced at UGX 25,000 each.

Next Media, through its NBS Sport brand, will broadcast the run live. Andrew Kabuura, Head of Sports Broadcast at Next Media, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the cause.

The 2024 debut of the Corporate Run reached mothers at Health Center IIIs in Northern and Eastern Uganda, and organizers hope this second edition will expand the initiative’s impact while promoting corporate engagement in sports for a meaningful cause.
