Uganda will field a two-woman team at the 2025 Toyota World Para Swimming Championships, with seasoned competitor Husnah Kukundakwe and newcomer Condoleeza Nakazibwe carrying the national flag in Singapore from September 21 to 27.
The event, set for the OCBC Aquatic Centre, will draw 600 swimmers from 60 countries and marks the first time the championships are staged in Asia.
Kukundakwe, Uganda’s most decorated para-swimmer, enters a demanding program featuring the 50m freestyle S8, 100m freestyle S8, 100m breaststroke S8, and 200m individual medley SM8.
Nakazibwe, one of the nation’s brightest prospects, will compete in the 50m freestyle S9.
Both athletes are targeting strong finishes against the world’s elite while using the global stage to inspire a new generation of para-athletes back home.
