Manchester United has reported a record annual revenue of £666.5 million for the past year, despite the men’s team finishing a club-worst 15th in the Premier League.
The record earnings were attributed to a new five-year sponsorship deal with Snapdragon, which helped drive commercial revenue to a record £333.3 million.
The club also reduced its overall loss by 70.8% to £33 million and announced staff cuts and a wage reduction for players due to the lack of Champions League qualification.
