Arsenal forward Noni Madueke is set to miss six to eight weeks with a knee injury he sustained during Sunday’s match against Manchester City.
While the full extent of the injury is not yet confirmed, medics believe it is not an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
However, the 23-year-old is expected to be out for a minimum of six weeks, a major blow to both Arsenal and England.
The injury will cause him to miss several key domestic and European matches for the Gunners, as well as England’s upcoming games.
The earliest he is expected to return to the field is mid-November, with a potential return for the north London derby against Tottenham on November 23.
