Uganda’s U20 women’s team is through to the next round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after completing a 5-0 aggregate victory over Namibia at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, on Sunday evening.
The Queen Cranes, carrying a 3-0 lead from the first leg in Windhoek, finished the job with a 2-0 win at home. Peace Muduwa set the tone in the 32nd minute when she buried the opener to lift Uganda’s confidence.
Agnes Nabukenya doubled the lead eight minutes later with a sharp finish, giving the hosts full control before halftime.
Coach Sherly Ulanda Botes used the cushion to rotate her squad early in the second half, introducing four substitutes right after the restart.
Despite Uganda’s continued pressure, Namibia held firm to keep the scoreline unchanged after the break.
Uganda now waits for the winner of the Burundi–Zambia tie to learn their opponent in the next stage of qualifying as they chase a debut at the U20 Women’s World Cup.
