Real Madrid continued their dominant start to the season with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Levante, with a brace from Kylian Mbappé sealing their sixth win in six La Liga games.
The French forward scored his two goals in quick succession—a Panenka penalty in the 64th minute and a deft finish two minutes later—bringing his league tally to seven goals for the season.
The win moves Real Madrid five points clear at the top of the table.
Earlier, Vinícius Júnior opened the scoring with a superb strike, bending the ball into the corner of the net. The Brazilian then assisted Franco Mastantuono, whose clinical finish from a crossfield pass marked his first goal for the club.
Levante managed to pull one back when Etta Eyong headed in from an Ivan Romero cross, but Mbappé’s quickfire double put any comeback hopes to rest.
The victory also continues manager Xabi Alonso’s impressive start, making him only the second manager in the club’s history to win his first six La Liga matches.
He will have a chance to tie Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s record of seven consecutive wins in the Madrid derby against Atletico on Saturday.
