Uganda’s top swimmer Mukalazi Tendo stole the show at the 2025 Fast and Furious Invitational Gala, sweeping four gold medals to underline his dominance in the pool.
Tendo struck gold in the 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, and 100m individual medley, thrilling fans at the Kampala Parents School pool where the two-day meet wrapped up today.
The gala, hosted by Dolphins Swim Club, drew more than 600 swimmers from 30 clubs, all battling across five age categories.
Organizers said the addition of prize money this year helped young athletes stay focused on their careers, adding extra intensity to every race.
Coaches and participants hailed the 2025 edition as the most exciting yet, noting that the higher competition level and lively atmosphere surpassed last year’s event.
Children left the pool deck not just with medals but with cash prizes, a boost many believe will inspire even stronger performances in the seasons ahead.
