Kitara have secured a UGX 100 million shirt sponsorship deal with Kinyara Sugar Ltd, in what marks a major boost for the “Pride of Bunyoro” as the new season commences.
The deal was unveiled at Kinyara’s headquarters in Masindi, with the sugar company committing to feature its logo on Kitara’s training and matchday jerseys during the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup campaigns.
The agreement also covers branding rights at home games, joint branding at press conferences, and extensive fan engagement activities across the region.
Kinyara Sugar CEO, Ramalingam Ravi, described the partnership as part of the company’s wider support for sports in Uganda.
“We proudly support sports and are pleased to renew our sponsorship to Kitara FC, the Uganda Cup winners,” he said.
Kitara FC CEO, Atugonza Joshua, welcomed the continued backing, pointing to Kinyara’s role in last season’s Uganda Cup success.
“This partnership is more than just financial support; it is a sign of trust and belief in our project. With Kinyara on board, we are motivated to work even harder and make Bunyoro proud both in the league and on the continent,” he said.
