The 2025 City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge is shaping up to be the biggest edition yet, drawing more than 1,000 players from across the region.
The 8th edition of the championship, set for October 16th to 19th at the MTN Arena in Lugogo, promises high-intensity competition and a vibrant display of regional badminton talent.
The tournament was officially launched after Mandela Group of Companies handed over 125 sparkling trophies to Uganda Badminton Association CEO Simon Mugabi.
Players will compete across six categories, schools, children, professionals, veterans, university students, and coaches, with the top performers set to walk away with trophies and cash prizes.
Over the years, the City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge has grown into one of the region’s most respected tournaments, blending competition with camaraderie and helping nurture young talent.
