Fans around the globe are already securing their seats for the FIFA World Cup 26, with over one million tickets sold during the Visa Presale Draw, which closed after launching in mid-September.
Supporters from 212 countries and territories have participated, highlighting the worldwide excitement for football’s flagship tournament.
Host countries lead the charge
Residents of the three host nations, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, topped the ticket-buying list.
They were followed by fans from England, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, and France, completing the top ten in terms of demand.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said; “What an exciting step on our journey toward 2026! As national teams across the globe compete for a place at this historic tournament, it’s thrilling to see so many football-loving fans eager to be part of this watershed event in North America.”
“The sale of over one million tickets is a fantastic response and a sign that the most inclusive FIFA World Cup in history is capturing the imagination of supporters everywhere.”
Next ticketing phases
Fans who missed out on the presale will have another opportunity during the Early Ticket Draw, which opens on Monday, 27 October.
This phase will offer single-match tickets to all 104 games, as well as venue- and team-specific options.
Additionally, FIFA has launched an official resale platform at FIFA.com/tickets to help fans buy and sell tickets safely and securely.
Mexican residents will also have access to the FIFA Ticket Exchange Platform.
For those looking for premium experiences, single- and multi-match hospitality packages, including tickets, are available via FIFA.com/hospitality.
FIFA strongly encourages fans to purchase tickets only through official channels to avoid invalid or unauthorized sales.
