The Uganda National Ladies Golf Team has been flagged off to Kenya ahead of the East and Central Africa All-Africa Challenge Trophy (ECA-AACT), scheduled for October 20–25 at the Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort in Naivasha.
Led by captain Peace Kabasweka, the team features Meron Kyomugisha and Keisha Kagoro, with Charity Atuhaire and Paul Habyarimana handling team management duties.
Ugandan golf legend Flavia Namakula serves as coach, bringing her wealth of experience to guide the side in one of the region’s most competitive women’s golf events.
The 54-hole stroke-play championship will bring together elite golfers from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Madagascar, and the Reunion Islands, all chasing regional supremacy.
Uganda heads into the competition looking to improve on their strong third-place finish in the previous edition held in Rwanda, where Tanzania took the top honors.
At the flag-off ceremony, the players exuded confidence, promising to give their best and fly the national colors high.
