Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that captain and England defender Marc Guehi will leave the club next year after rejecting a new contract offer.
The 25-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, told the club he wants to “make something different,” Glasner stated.
This decision sets up a potential January sale, as Palace risks losing the player on a free transfer next summer.
Guehi, who has played all 12 games this season, was close to joining Liverpool for £35 million this past summer but the deal collapsed on transfer deadline day.
Liverpool is expected to retain interest, but reports suggest they face competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich for the England international’s signature in January.
