Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has signed a two-year contract extension, committing his future to the club until June 2029.
The 39-year-old Belgian took charge in May 2024 and quickly delivered, leading Bayern to the Bundesliga title in his debut season. His overall record stands at 49 wins from 67 games.
“I’m grateful, honoured and would like to thank Bayern for the trust,” Kompany said, adding, “We’ve started on a wonderful journey.”
Club president Herbert Hainer called the extension a “strong vote of confidence” and a “clear sign for continuity and stability at Bayern.”
The team has maintained its strong form, winning the German Super Cup and currently sitting five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table in the 2025-26 season.
