Uganda’s Shadir Musa Bwogi is on the brink of the biggest fight of his professional career as he prepares to challenge for the WBC International Super Middleweight Title next month.
The 29-year-old southpaw will face Croatia’s Luka Plantić on Sunday, November 23, at the Tirana Olympic Park in Albania.
It’s a massive step up for Bwogi, who could make history as the first Ugandan in decades to contest a major international title bout.
Plantić, 28, enters the fight as the reigning champion and one of Europe’s most feared prospects, boasting a flawless 28-0 record with nine knockouts.
Bwogi, however, is no stranger to pressure. The former Olympian has impressed since turning professional, also holding an unbeaten 9-0 record with five knockouts.
The matchup pits two undefeated fighters against each other in what’s shaping up to be a thrilling showdown.
Beyond the belt, a win could catapult Bwogi into the global rankings and mark a new chapter for Ugandan boxing on the international stage.
The bout will headline the card at Tirana Olympic Park, where Bwogi is expected to earn his biggest purse yet.
