The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend with a full slate of six matches across Uganda, as the race for early-season dominance intensifies. Three teams sit level on seven points at the top, setting up a pivotal Matchday Four that could shape the table before the month ends.
Saturday’s action begins with Olila High School WFC hosting Rines SS WFC in Soroti, St Noa Girls Zana FC welcoming Makerere University WFC at Wankulukuku, and Uganda Martyrs High School WFC clashing with Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC at St Gerald’s Ground, Lubaga.
Uganda Martyrs are still searching for their first win of the season after a frustrating start, while Kawempe arrive brimming with confidence and in-form striker Latifah Nakasi facing her former club. With Uganda Martyrs conceding eight goals in three games, the hosts will need a major defensive improvement to contain Kawempe’s fluid attack led by Agnes Nabukenya.
In Soroti, Olila High School and Rines SS are both desperate for their first victories. Olila’s goal drought — just one goal in three matches — has them hovering in the relegation zone, while Rines have shown flashes of attacking promise that could make this a tense battle between two sides eager to change their fortunes.
At Wankulukuku, St Noa Girls will aim to stay in touch with the top pack when they meet Makerere University. Despite a recent defeat, St Noa’s attack led by Dorcas Lwalisa and Patricia Nayiga remains one of the league’s most dangerous. Makerere arrive on the back of a morale-boosting win and will fancy their chances of springing another surprise.
Sunday’s fixtures promise equal drama. Asubo Ladies FC, still adjusting after parting ways with coach Kamya Swaleh, face an uphill task against the in-form Kampala Queens at Kampala Quality Ground. The Queens’ midfield duo of Catherine Nagadya and Zaitun Namaganda have been pulling the strings, while striker Kamiyati Naigaga — currently the league’s top scorer — will be out to punish her former club and extend her scoring streak.
Meanwhile, She Corporate FC host Amus College WFC at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru. The Sharks have been clinical so far, boasting the league’s tightest defence with only one goal conceded. Their perfect home record faces its toughest test yet against an Amus side that has proven stubborn and competitive in every outing.
At Luzira Prison Grounds, She Maroons FC take on Lady Doves FC in a matchup of evenly matched sides seeking consistency. The Jailers need to fix their defensive lapses, while Lady Doves will look to balance their strong attack with greater composure at the back.
With three teams sharing top spot and several others within striking distance, Matchday Four could go a long way in defining who enters November as the team to beat in the 2025/26 Women Super League.
