England forward Marcus Rashford has confirmed his desire to remain at Barcelona permanently after his loan from Manchester United ends this summer.
The 27-year-old, whose contract with United runs until 2028, appears to have no future at Old Trafford under head coach Ruben Amorim.
Barcelona holds an option to sign him for £28 million, significantly less than the £40 million United would seek from other clubs.
“For sure,” Rashford told ESPN when asked if he wanted to stay, adding, “I’m enjoying this football club… sometimes you just need a change.”
Rashford has flourished since the move, scoring five goals in 12 games for Barcelona, including a recent Champions League double.
He is set to play in his first El Clásico against Real Madrid this weekend.
