She Maroons FC will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Lady Doves FC in a crucial Matchday 4 fixture of the 2025/26 Finance Trust FUFA Women Super League this Sunday at the Maroons Stadium in Luzira. Kickoff is at 10:00 AM.
The Luzira-based side currently sits fifth on the log with four points from three games and will be eager to bounce back from last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Amus College WFC. Despite that setback, head coach Maxwell Okello says his side remains focused on getting a result at home.
“The defeat in Bukedea was a setback, but it won’t define us. The team is hungry for a home win, and their attitude in training shows it,” Okello noted.
She Maroons have had a mixed start to the campaign—winning 5-0 against Asubo Ladies, drawing 0-0 with She Corporate, and losing their last outing. Forward Lillian Kasuubo, who scored their lone goal in Bukedea, will again be the focal point in attack alongside Norah Alupo, while playmaker Lillian Mutuuzo is expected to control the midfield.
Lady Doves, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win of the season. The Masindi outfit sits eighth with two points from two draws, having shared spoils with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga and fallen narrowly 3-2 to St. Noah Girls. Coach Sam Lule’s side will lean on striker Resty Kubusobozi’s sharpness in front of goal to try and unlock the She Maroons defense.
Both sides have been evenly matched in recent meetings, each winning twice and drawing once in their last five clashes. Those encounters have all produced more than 2.5 goals, hinting at another lively contest this weekend.
She Maroons will be without Dorcus Nabuufu and Fauzia Alinda, who are still in rehabilitation, while Faith Apio misses out due to personal reasons. Captain Joweria Babirye, however, is fit and available for selection as the Jailers look to reclaim momentum in front of their home crowd.
